Tara Armstrong is quite literally a MONSTER! She absolutely hates and despises EVERYONE who doesn’t look like her, act like her and believe the same horrifically disgusting and evil BS she spews on a regular basis! That ANY cConservative voted with her tells me THEY ALSO need to be removed from office!

Get that recall legislation working because there are a hell of a lot of people,in B.C. who would happily give her the boot and NEVER allow her to infest our legislature again along with ANYONE who voted with her on this bill!

Unbelievable that anyone should be trying to eliminate such basic human rights from the law in the 21st century. I just don't understand why anyone would think that people don't need protection from discrimination. At some point in one's lifetime, everyone will be bullied for being a member of whatever group is out of favour at the time. Everyone will at least experience being elderly and disabled, which is no picnic if you're looking for a job, applying for social services, trying to rent an apartment or just looking for a restaurant with an accessible washroom. Those laws are even protecting the fascist bigots who are trying to get rid of them, ironically.

I’m not a member of parliament or legislature, never have been and probably never will be but I’m pretty sure I’d vote non just off hand on any bill that strikes down completely a complex series of laws , protections, procedure, decisions in one fell swoop with out a clear and very compelling reason to do so beyond “opinion” and especially so if the bill contained no structure or hint of a suggestion yet alone a comprehensive plan to be used to replace it.

Otherwise, Id just be voting on another legislators opinion. Surely the constituents expect more important work to be done when the legislature is in session than seeking colleagues to side with each others personal opinions.

Especially when so many constituents stand to potentially be so seriously hurt by such an opinion.

Tara Armstrong continues to prove herself as self-serving, cruel, unsympathetic, without foresight and even a sliver of community or nation building skill set.

She has no compassion for and not one moment of doubt or reflection over those she rises everyday to leverage her position to hurt and destroy.

She does not represent her constituents and makes no bones about it.

She will not stop. She’s there to do only what she came to do. Destroy!

She will not stop.

So she must be stopped and recall or voted out fully in the next election.

Thanks for this informative piece for those who might not be familiar with the BC Human Rights Code, the prohibited grounds for discrimination and who it protects. Also, letting people know that MLA Tara Armstrong and the Conservatives all voted to abolish it. It’s important for people to know which MLAs support and protect everyone’s human rights and who wants to attempt to take us back decades to a time when discrimination flourished with no recourse. The misinformation surrounding the CTA vs Neufeld HRT Ruling is being perpetuated by Armstrong who is abusing her position as an MLA.

I was reading about it and wondered if that was Tara Armstrong. Wonder no more! But even more alarming is the fact that ALL of the Conservatives voted in favour!

Wilbur this is absolutely horrendous! Narrowly failed? WTF is going on? They won't stop trying. All our hard earned rights. I lack the words. Thank you for continuing to keep us informed. This article needs to go everywhere.

Thank you, Wilbur! If we give up the fight against sheer ignorance we are doomed.

A brutal topic brought up by your resident racist conservative - and summed up by a line only Wilbur can craft "dignity feel(s) squeezed out by hot takes and punitive politics dressed up as principle."
